Dear Newsletter Readers (old and new),
I hope this edition of our newsletter has something in it that is of interest to you. This week I’ve put together 3 verses of poetry for you that I hope you will be able to make some connection with. As usual, my idea of poetry is more borne out of meandering than working with a clear idea of where I want to go in mind; It’s an attempt at playing on words to try express where my little philosophies in life lie: one of philosophies being that it’s better to offer something than nothing at all providing that the quality is acceptable which I hope this offering of prose is.
Until next week, keep safe, sane and remain only at the disposal of those that are at your disposal.
Some of us never learn
Some of us never learn.
We throw away most of what we earn.
We hate it, but at the same time it is something for which we yearn.
We cannot copy without first making a pattern.
In our failure to take heed of good advice we get burned.
Fight for what we believe is right and the tide will eventually turn.
That memorable moment when our spines tingle and our stomachs churn.
The second largest planet in our solar system is Saturn.
With any kind of investment you expect a return.
It’s better not to disregard another person’s concern.
The quality of forebearance should never be replaced with stern.
Life experience teaches us when to reveal and then conceal our disdain.
A poem by Stephen Austwick.
